An antibody–drug conjugate for small-cell lung cancer

Phase 3 trial data support the antibody–drug conjugate tambotatug pelitecan as a new second-line option for patients with relapsed small-cell lung cancer. Relapsed small-cell lung cancer is an aggressive disease with very few effective treatments after failure of first-line platinum-based chemotherapy, so a positive randomised phase 3 readout addresses a clear unmet need. The result positions targeted antibody–drug conjugates as a credible alternative to the limited chemotherapy options currently used in this setting.
