AAML1831: A Phase III Trial Comparing Standard Induction Therapy With CPX-351 in De Novo Pediatric AML: A Report From the Children's Oncology Group

The Children’s Oncology Group Phase III AAML1831 trial compared CPX-351 (liposomal daunorubicin–cytarabine) with standard cytarabine-based induction in children with de novo acute myeloid leukaemia. This is the first large randomised paediatric evaluation of CPX-351, a formulation already approved for select adult AML populations. Results published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology provide pivotal evidence on whether the liposomal combination improves outcomes in the paediatric setting.
