Darolutamide Alone and in Combination With Goserelin in Androgen Receptor–Positive Salivary Gland Carcinoma: Results From the Phase II DISCOVARY Trial

The Phase II DISCOVARY trial evaluated darolutamide, an androgen receptor antagonist approved for prostate cancer, as a novel targeted therapy in androgen receptor–positive salivary gland carcinoma, testing both monotherapy and combination with goserelin. Results published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology provide clinical evidence for AR-directed treatment in this rare malignancy with limited systemic options. The trial represents one of the first prospective evaluations of hormonal therapy in AR-positive salivary gland cancer, a tumor type historically lacking molecularly targeted approaches.
