Bispecific Antibody Plus ADC in Small Cell Lung Cancer: 52–90% Responses in a Phase I Trial

At the IASLC World Conference on Lung Cancer in Seoul, investigators reported first results of a phase I trial combining a PD-L1/VEGF bispecific antibody with an antibody-drug conjugate in advanced small cell lung cancer. Objective response rates ranged from 52.4% to 90% depending on dose level and treatment line. Phase I studies enrol small numbers of patients and are designed to assess safety and dosing, so these response rates are preliminary and unconfirmed. No survival data have been reported and the results have not yet been published in a peer-reviewed journal.
