EGFR-targeting ADCs: From oncogene addiction to antigen-guided drug delivery

A first-in-human phase 1 study of SYS6010, an EGFR-targeting antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), demonstrated activity in patients with advanced solid tumors, marking a conceptual shift from EGFR kinase inhibition toward antigen-guided cytotoxic payload delivery. The study, reported by Li et al. in Cancer Cell, specifically highlights the potential of this approach in non-small cell lung cancer.
